V Davis’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

V Davis shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi V , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m very proud of the music I have been putting out. Being able to get in touch with my emotions. My new single “Emotional” has gave me the chance to gain new fans. This touches me and keeps me inspired. I have the ability to keep pushing with my sound, dropping good rnb hits. For the world to hear. This started when I was a kid singing at family weddings and events since being 8 years old. For example, Smoky Norful was a hit and my uncle Sonny helped realize my talent.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Vashaun, they call me V Davis. I make r & b, I’m also a fitness trainer. Both are my passion. I love helping others, putting a smile on their face making sure they are where they want to be health wise. You can never go wrong with adding soul to your fitness. It’s a stress reliever. I started a LLC in 2020 called V2fitness, I sell clothes and I help with fitness. You can call me a fitness influencer.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mother because she would always do karaoke with me. She put me in dance classes & I played the tuba from elementary to middle school. She saw that I had a special talent and she wanted me to grow. I’ve done vocal lessons. She kept me motivated and helped me keep doing music. She pushed me so hard that I got better with my delivery of the music.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
If you stop doing what you love in the beginning without trying and failing, you will never learn. You have to fail to be able to succeed. I had a moment in life where I wanted to quit because I didn’t have the patience for it to work. I started having faith and praying to God, and I started having patience and I see a difference from when I first started.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
If you don’t chase your dream and you expect it to just fall in your lap, it won’t happen. I’ve experienced just sitting down expecting it to happen with no ambition and I learned my lesson. After going through that, I proved that after you chase your dream, I show that it can happen.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I want people to know me for me. I want them to know my V2fitness movement which helps you better your life physically. I want to be known as someone who helped changed the world with fitness. I want to inspire others with fitness and let them know that they can do it too.
