Taylor Foster shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Taylor, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Recently, I’ve been finding a lot of joy in working on a book I’m writing. It’s a passion project that I believe will have a meaningful impact on future generations. The process has been both creative and reflective, allowing me to explore ideas deeply and think about how they can inspire and support others over time
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Taylor Foster, and I am a human resources professional based in West Michigan. Alongside my HR career, I’m building my personal brand, Wolf Talk, a resource platform designed to support local athletes ages 15–24 with mentorship, educational opportunities, job training, and guidance for personal growth. I’m passionate about creating spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and equipped to succeed both on and off the field. I’m also in the process of writing a book—a project I believe will have a lasting and transformative impact on future generations.”
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself is the one I have with my grandmother, who is also known as my Boobie. She’s been a constant example of resilience, compassion, and purpose-driven living. Watching her navigate challenges with grace and always find ways to help others while always being there for me taught me the value of perseverance and service. Her influence has shaped my work ethic, my empathy for others, and my belief that success is measured not just by personal achievements, but by the positive impact you have on the lives around you.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that I am valuable, and that unkind words from others do not define who I am or who I will become. My worth isn’t determined by external opinions—it comes from being a child of God, it comes from within, and it grows stronger as I stay true to myself.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends would say that my relationship with God is at the center of my life, and that my connections with friends and family mean the world to me. I believe life’s best moments are meant to be shared, and nothing feels truly complete or joyful without the people I love by my side.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, I could give my best to everything I do without ever receiving praise. I don’t act for recognition—I work hard and give my all because I genuinely believe I was created to serve and to show love to others. Helping those around me, especially those in need, is deeply fulfilling in itself.
