We’re looking forward to introducing you to Stephy Rosette. Check out our conversation below.

Stephy, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes, I for sure have a recent moment that has made me proud!
Starting in January of 2025, my husband and I decided to live healthier together!
I recently have lost 60 pounds! Now, I am not anywhere close to my goal, but we are taking one step at a time and will reach our goals one day in the near future!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi there everyone! My name is Stephanie Rosette, also known as Stephy!
I am a Michigan and surrounding areas photographer: Specializing in lifestyle and portrait photography!
My business name is called Rosette Photography (after my last name, and I love roses, so it fits perfectly!)
A little backstory:
I was first introduced to the camera by my late father. He loved teaching me how to use the different settings of the nikon D3500 way back around 2012-2015. He would take me out to different parks, or gorgeous areas and teach me how to pose! Those are some memories that I will always hold dear because he later got diagnosed with cancer and passed away in 2016. After he passed away I put the camera away for a year and a half, I really didn’t want to even look at it, but I knew that it was my gift and calling from God. With the encouragement of my husband I decided to start a photography business in November of 2017, and I am so glad that he was so encouraging and continues to be. It hasn’t always been easy, but we know that I am doing what God has set before me, and we are being faithful in that!
I love to capture genuine happiness of Gods beautiful creation! That is part of what makes me a unique photographer, I include my faith in my business. God is my number 1, and I want to make sure that I am giving Him the glory when capturing His creation!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world is when my father passed away. I was extremely close to my father, and I was only a teenager when he passed away. I had actually walked away from God and my faith right after he passed, because I was so upset at God for taking my father away. I had walked the way of the world, living as an “atheist”, even though I never truly was. That is when I met my husband, and by the grace of God, He helped us both find our way back to God. Although I was hurt when my father passed, I was able to learn who I was in Christ, and not who I was according to my father. Losing my father helped me see what the world was really about, because I was able to explore it in my own way, and not be sheltered from it. This world is a wonderful place, if you allow God to guide your steps, I learn that more and more each day!

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a time I almost gave up in my photography journey. It was last year and I am so glad I didn’t!
I had went though a really rough time when I had lost my business page on facebook. Over 600 followers, and facebook is how I gained most of my clientele. I had started my business page back in November of 2017. It took me over 7 years to build all the work and clientele that I had on there, and it was just taken away overnight. I had to start all over. I had to create a whole new personal and business page (my old business page is still up there, but I cant access it). Since I had lost a lot of my clientele, I also had to give up my studio, and that is when I almost gave it all up. I wanted to sell my cameras and just stop… But my husband and God wouldn’t let that happen! It has been rough, as I am building my page all over again from scratch, but I know that God will provide, and I am very hopeful in that!

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Oh, absolutely the public version of me is the real me! I am me all the way around. I am first and foremost a Jesus freak, a little sassy, very loving, and I am simply me! Yes, I am a Jesus freak in private, and in public! Now, of course sometimes I can be more depressed at home ( I like to be outside), and I do struggle with mental health, but I am honest about it. I let people know my real feelings! The Stephy you see is the Stephy you get!

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I hope that people tell about me is:
First and foremost, people would see how much I shared about and loved Jesus. Jesus is my foundation, and everything that I do I want to try and glory Him. I know that I may fail in that at times, but I do try my best. I hope they talk about how much I love my family! My family means so much to me, and I truly hope they all know that! They have all helped me get through so much in life, and I hope that I have helped them in life as well. When people see & remember me, I want them to see the joy & the light of Jesus. His story is ultimately the story I want to be told!
