Hi Valeriia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Launched in October 2025, Paws & Joy Pet Bakery began with a simple belief: pets are family, and they deserve the same level of care, quality, and celebration as any loved one. What started as a passion project to make treats for my chihuahua, Bourbon, quickly evolved into a luxury pet bakery dedicated to crafting beautifully designed cakes, cupcakes and donuts using only premium, human-grade ingredients. From the very beginning, I made every treat in small batches, blending high-end gourmet aesthetics with pet-safe ingredients to create memorable moments for both pets and their owners.
Today, Paws & Joy has grown into the premier destination for elevated pet celebrations, proudly serving the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Baltimore areas. Known for our signature meat- and fish-based recipes, custom designs and refined presentation, the bakery has become synonymous with indulgent, high-end treats that turn life’s celebrations into lasting memories.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Behind every Paws & Joy creation is a journey of careful trial, refinement and dedication. Developing my signature recipes meant balancing gourmet, human-grade ingredients with pet-safe nutrition, ensuring each cake, cupcake and donut is as wholesome as it is beautiful. Perfecting my distinctive designs brought its own challenges, from preserving delicate, hand-piped details to maintaining consistency while honoring the artisanal, luxurious feel that defines our brand. Through it all, I’ve been guided by the most important feedback of all, my customers and their beloved pups and kitties. Their excitement, loyalty, and joyful reactions inspire every new creation and I am endlessly grateful to be a small part of their most meaningful moments.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I take immense pride in creating designs that are as visually captivating as they are meaningful. Each cake, cupcake and donut is thoughtfully crafted to stand out on social media. From elegant finishes to playful, hand-piped details, I design every treat to be shared, celebrated and remembered. But beyond the likes and shares, what matters most to me is the happiness they bring to my customers, the smiles, the celebrations and the joy in every moment I am lucky enough to be part of.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
My love for pups and kitties is at the heart of everything I create. They aren’t just pets, they’re also family and deserve treats made with the same care, quality and thoughtfulness we give to our own loved ones. That belief drives me to continuously refine recipes and designs, source the best ingredients, and craft each cake, cupcake, and donut with heart. Every detail matters, because I want every bite to be safe, nourishing, and filled with joy.
