Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyrone Hunter.
Hi Tyrone, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 1996, i bought my first sewing machine, i always was a fashionable man, but in order to look different i wanted to become a fashion designer.
Im 1999 i officially quit my job as a sakes rep to further my potential dream to becoming a designer.
Im self taight and a really swift seamter.
I have pushed myself to be the person i am today.
One of Michigan’s top designer.
I have done countless Fashion Shows and Runway Shows.
Locally and all around the world.
I am known as the King Of Ptom.
Single handedly creating over a 100+ prom clients every year.
I have won 4 Detroit Choice Awards and many prize packages contests.
Today im still learning and growing to make FlyTyCreations bigger than what it is.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly, i think the only struggles i endured was not having the full support from family and friends.
Even had the doubts from them, but im blessed that i kept on going and didn’t allow them to fill my had with negativity.
I am my own cheerleader and that is the reason why i am here today doing what i love to do.

I am an all around custom creative fitted designer.
I create for all sizes and genders..
My passion is more towards the women, i honestly love to create for them.
I love taking some fabric and create something so beautiful that it fits a woman’s curves to perfection.
It makes me smile knowing that i made them smile, i feel like winner when i accomplish my goal.
I am known for creating all phases of women clothes, but im more known for Formal Wear.
That’s my nitch, and Lord knows i love it.
I am proud of me in general, because it tooks years of me not patting myself on the back and saying job well done.
Im proud of listening to myself and not what others thought of me or their perceptions of me or my brand.
The way i set myself apart from others is by using my creative mind to the fullest.
By being bold and daring, not afraid to use prints and colors.
There is only one FlyTy….
What’s next?
Just living and loving life.
I would love to have a building one day where i can teach teenagers how to create garments.
Of course im going to continue showcasing at runway and being the best designer that God placed me on this earth to be.
