Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyree Lee III.
Hi Tyree, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I officially started my business in September of 2016. It started out as selling t-shirts and other apparel. Once, I needed a photographer to do a photoshoot for the clothes so I could post them I found out that it was more expensive than I would be able to pay. I was already a little into photography taking pictures of landscapes and sunsets. So, I figured I would just upgrade my camera gear and try it out. I took my first few shots and fell in love with it. It seem to just be the right thing because both my parents were camera operators for family functions. My mom had Nikon DSLR & my dad had RCA/Sony brand video cameras. So, it seemed that God had just led me to the camera where I can honestly say I’ve found my passion. As my career in photography has gone on I just continue to push myself to be different, do different, & as a photographer see different.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. Due to at first not having a consistent base of clients. You run into to financial ups and downs so I kept a job as well but that also comes in the way due to scheduling conflicts.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a cinematographer/photographer. I specialize in portraiture and film-style event shooting. I am most known for my portraits. I’m most proud of the growth over these 6 years. The thing that sets me apart from others is that I create a cinematic style almost of any shoot I do which gives you a feel of a movie.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
By contacting me via my website, email, or call/text.
