Rising Stars: Meet the Michigan Outlaws

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Koster. 

Hi Cameron, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We all grew up together and rode different Powersports depending on which season it was. After a while, we saw some other groups making videos and putting them up on YouTube. We thought that we did some of the things we were seeing on YouTube so we decided to make our own videos and upload them. It started out as us wanting to document our trips we were taking and then we saw that people were actually interested in watching and it evolved from there! 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been the smoothest road! We seem to always have at least one breakdown of one of the machines (usually Caleb’s lol) We also had to learn a lot of new skills like camera work and editing, we have come a long way with that but still have a lot more to learn! 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are the Michigan Outlaws; we make videos and upload them to our YouTube channel. We specialize in filming a wide variety of Powersports activities. We were most proud of hitting our first 1,000 subscribers! It was a huge accomplishment that we weren’t sure if we would ever hit and now, we are closing in on 5,000! Our work ethic definitely sets us apart from most small channels on YouTube, we upload videos almost every week and most of them require us to travel to other places to ride. 

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, Instagram is a great tool to use also! It’s easy to find other people like you and don’t be afraid to shoot them a DM to ask questions or collaborate.
