Rising Stars: Meet Stacey Rossi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Rossi.

Stacey Rossi

Hi Stacey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I’ve been in hospitality for 25 years, the majority of my time behind the bar. During Covid, I decided to start a mobile bar service with a 1976 horse trailer I found on Facebook marketplace. I then begged my brilliantly talented cousin Jason Koharik in Los Angeles to do the renovations. While he was working, I set out to start doing private events. We launched in September 2022, and we’ve had one fantastic year.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been relatively smooth; I’m so grateful for the clients we’ve served this far. The struggles I’m dealing with are on the administrative side. I’ve spent my career as a mixologist, so the logistics part is definitely something I’m adjusting to.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Lacys Mobile Bar is a luxury mobile bartending service that emphasizes on providing all your bar needs so the only thing you have to worry about is having a great time. We specialize in craft cocktails and exceptional service. I would say what sets us apart from others is the style of our trailer. It’s really a piece of art on wheels. I’m most proud of the cocktails we create and our commitment to using fresh ingredients whenever we can. Since we are in Michigan, it can be hard sometimes in the winter months, but using our creative resourcefulness is what makes me proud. What we want readers to know is that we bring an elevated bar experience to your guests, and we strive to make sure all guests feel special and taken care of.

We’d love to hear about what you think about risk-taking.
I don’t necessarily see myself as a risk taker, but I do think it took a lot of courage to start my business during Covid. There have been ups & downs, but I am a grateful for every moment. I definitely took a risk leaving my full-time bartending job & pursuing my business full-time.
