Today we’d like to introduce you to Noura Alfatlawi.
Hi Noura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello, my name is Noura Alfatlawi, a UGC creator from the vibrant city of Metro Detroit. Today, I’m thrilled to share with you the story of my journey, from my early love for makeup to where I am today, juggling my passion for content creation on TikTok alongside my pursuit of becoming a pharmacist.
As a teenager, my fascination with makeup took root, and I discovered my innate talent for providing tips and tricks that made people feel beautiful and confident. It didn’t take long for me to become the go-to makeup artist and fashion advisor among my friends in high school. Sharing my knowledge and helping others embrace their unique style was something that truly ignited my spirit.
Enter TikTok, the virtual playground where creativity knows no bounds. It became the perfect canvas for me to express my passion for modest fashion, lifestyle, makeup trends, and skin care. Through my videos, I aimed to provide practical advice, showcase the latest fashion trends, and empower others to embrace their natural beauty.
What began as a small following on TikTok soon blossomed into a supportive and loving community that constantly inspires and motivates me. Together, we embarked on a journey of self-discovery, celebrating diverse cultures and empowering individuals to express themselves authentically.
Throughout this journey, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with renowned brands like Lancôme and Armani Beauty. Working with these industry leaders allowed me to merge their expertise with my unique perspective, creating captivating content that resonated with my beloved followers.
While my journey as a UGC creator flourishes, I’m also pursuing my education in Pharmacy. Balancing my passion for content creation on TikTok with my studies has been an exciting and challenging endeavor. It’s a testament to the importance of pursuing our dreams while also embracing the opportunities that life presents.
As an Iraqi American, my cultural heritage serves as a powerful source of inspiration. It allows me to showcase the beauty of my roots while fostering understanding and unity among diverse communities. Through my content, I hope to break down barriers, spread positivity, and celebrate our shared humanity.
Looking ahead, I’m eager to continue growing, learning, and creating content that uplifts and empowers others. With my cherished community by my side, I aspire to inspire individuals to embrace their true selves and find confidence in their unique identities.
Thank you for being a part of my journey thus far, and I can’t wait to embark on new adventures with all of you. Let’s continue spreading beauty, knowledge, and kindness to create a world where everyone feels seen, celebrated, and loved.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest struggles I faced early on was building a following. Starting with a small number of followers meant I had to work extra hard to get my content noticed. It took time and consistency to grow my audience and gain their trust. But with each video I created, I learned more about what resonated with my viewers and kept pushing forward.
Another challenge I encountered was balancing my passion for creating content with other aspects of my life, such as school and personal commitments. It required careful time management and dedication to ensure I could give my all to both my studies and my TikTok content. But the drive to pursue my passions fueled me, and I found ways to prioritize and find balance along the way.
Criticism and negativity are inevitable in any creative journey, and I’ve faced my fair share of it. Overcoming self-doubt and learning to embrace constructive feedback has been a process. I realized that staying true to myself, focusing on positivity, and surrounding myself with a supportive community were essential in rising above the challenges and staying motivated.
Lastly, as a UGC creator, I constantly strive to adapt to the ever-evolving trends and algorithms of social media platforms. Staying up-to-date, experimenting with new content styles, and finding my unique voice in a saturated digital landscape have been ongoing challenges. But I see these challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation.
Despite these struggles, I believe that every hurdle I’ve encountered has made me stronger and more resilient. It’s taught me the importance of perseverance, self-belief, and embracing the journey rather than just the destination.
So, while the road hasn’t always been smooth, I wouldn’t trade my experiences and the lessons learned along the way for anything. They have shaped me into the UGC creator I am today, and I’m excited to tackle whatever challenges lie ahead with passion and determination.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
When I was a child, at the age of 7 my parents took my family and I on a two-month trip to Iraq as this was my first trip my home Country. I met my distant family and met my great-grandmother. My great-grandmother, whom we were visiting in Basra, Iraq. I remember asking her for a notebook and crayons, and she replied to me saying that she didn’t have any. She told me it was okay to draw on the wall, and I remember vividly giving me permanent markers and one pencil. I proceeded to draw a smiley face and my initials “N.A.” on the white brick wall in my great-grandmother’s home. It still stands there today with my drawings.
