Hi MR.1204, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started writing and performing music at a very young age! Performing has always been my passion! Live shows and performances is where I find peace. I wrote my first rap at the age of 10 and started performing live shows (talent shows) at the age of 13 years old.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being an independent artist is never easy. Especially if you don’t have financial backing. You’re literally relying on talent, your network, connects you have made and turning those connections into relationships! As an independent artist it’s always someone lurking pretty much preying on your ambitions to really make it! It’s so many snakes and sharks you definitely gotta stay the course and remain humble and focused!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an independent artist and entrepreneur who runs an independent records label as well as a management and promotional company! Music is always the mission but I’ve learned management and promotions really helps pay the bills! In West Michigan I’m most known for the events and hosting. I’m the guy who promotes and markets the events and I’m the guy who’s on the mic creating the vibe, giving the energy I need the crowd to feel! I’m most proud of my longevity and the ability to adapt with the times as well as recreating myself whether it’s a look, or even a sound in music. What sets me apart from other artist is I’m a jack of all trades! I can sit down and handle the business as well as jump in the booth and create, all while making sure every detail is right to help promote and market whether it’s a song or an event!
What makes you happy?
What makes me the most happy is having a thought, then executing that thought and watching it come altogether and watch how ppl react and gravitate towards that idea! I just love to create!
