Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Seegers.
Hi Matthew, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Architexx – Matthew & Jeremiah Seegers
We are The Architexx, a father-son creative agency based in Saginaw, Michigan—founded by myself, Matthew Seegers, and my 17-year-old son and business partner, Jeremiah. I’m a father of three and a lifelong entrepreneur, and from day one, I’ve worked to pass down the mindset of ownership, curiosity, and self-reliance to my kids.
Jeremiah came up watching me build. Naturally, he gravitated toward creativity and business early on. We started by selling beats and studio time, just trying to create opportunities with what we had. That foundation grew—quickly. We moved into shooting music videos, managing local campaigns, and producing content that gave artists a real platform.
Over time, we built a reputation—crafting social media campaigns, directing visuals, and running events that spoke directly to culture and community. But the more we worked, the more we saw the overlap between music marketing and business growth. Storytelling, branding, content strategy—it all translates. That realization pushed us to expand beyond entertainment.
We started partnering with business owners and nonprofits who shared our values. People who needed help sharpening their message and scaling their presence. That evolution led us to launch Media Cheat Code—a done-for-you content growth service focused on YouTube and Instagram. We help creators, consultants, and brands grow with intentional strategy, streamlined production, and systems that scale.
We live in the age of information and access—what a powerful time to be alive. There’s more opportunity than ever for those who are willing to learn, adapt, and build.
Beyond media, we’re driven by a deeper commitment—to growth, mastery, and doing meaningful work. We’ve built our agency around the things we believe in: doing what you love, sharpening what you’re great at, and constantly evolving. We’re always learning, always studying, always pushing to stay ahead—whether it’s through the stock market, emerging technologies, or the latest in AI and automation. Because the moment you get comfortable, you fall behind.
This isn’t just about content. It’s about building something significant. Something that creates impact—not just income. We want to help others do the same. Empower creators, elevate brands, and support the ones who never had the blueprint handed to them.
At the core, The Architexx is about legacy—built through discipline, creativity, and execution. We’re here to grow, to lead, and to leave something behind that’s bigger than us.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The Journey Hasn’t Been Easy…
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most entrepreneurs, we’ve had to learn through experience—not shortcuts.
In the beginning, we took on a lot of free and low-paying work. At the time, we saw it as a way to prove ourselves, build a portfolio, and get on people’s radar—and to be fair, it did help. We built skills, expanded our network, and created real momentum. But we also learned a hard truth: if you don’t value your work, neither will anyone else.
That realization forced us to grow up fast. We had to stop undervaluing what we bring to the table and start setting standards that reflect the time, talent, and energy we put in. It changed everything—from who we work with to how we show up.
We also learned a lot from a community project we tried to launch with a few peers. The passion was there, but there was no clear structure, no defined leadership, and no one steering the vision. It fell apart. That experience showed us the importance of clarity, direction, and strong systems. Without those, even the best ideas will collapse under their own weight.
Those challenges shaped us. They taught us how to protect our value, how to move with intention, and how to lead—whether it’s just the two of us or an entire team behind the brand.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I guess I could mention that I have a slary position as a branch manager of a pesticide application company by day lol!
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
One of my favorite books is Atomic Habits by James Clear. Right now I am reading 100 million dollar offer by Alex Hormozi….for the 3rd time lol! I hear something new each time as I revisit due to the progression in my understanding of business.
We listen to so many podcasts where would I begin. I love the Social Proof Podcast with David Shans, The Brandman, Network No Labels Necessary Podcast, The Diary of a CEO, The Bedros Kulian Show, Colin & Samir… I could honestly go on and on all day!
I tend to keep an earpiece in or some type of device on most of the time, even at work, so I am always absorbing and learning new ideas, terms, philosophies ect.
