Hi Jen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
VerityBeauty GR began as a vision to create a beauty experience rooted in authenticity and self-worth. I started my journey as an esthetician and makeup artist with a passion for helping people feel confident in their own skin. Over time, I saw that beauty isn’t just about appearance, it’s about presence, energy, and how someone feels about themselves.
My love and journey in beauty began back in 2010 when I was in grade 10. I loved experimenting with makeup on myself, and over time that curiosity grew into a genuine passion for helping others feel beautiful and confident. After high school, I continued practicing makeup on friends and family, not yet realizing it would one day become my career path.
In 2019, I enrolled at the French Academy of Cosmetology in Spring Lake, where I had an incredible experience. The atmosphere there was uplifting and inspiring it felt like the perfect environment to learn and grow. I not only mastered esthetics techniques, but also learned the importance of professionalism, client care, and creating a calm, welcoming environment for every person who walks through the door.
After graduating, passing my state exam, and becoming a licensed esthetician, I gained hands-on experience working in a few salons before taking the leap to open my own business. In 2022, I launched VerityBeauty GR LLC, my business is dedicated to providing professional makeup and esthetic services. What started as a personal love for beauty has evolved into a mission to help others experience their beauty confidently, authentically, and with grace.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Entrepreneurship has been such an amazing journey. I truly love doing what I love for a living turning my passion for beauty into my career has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. It doesn’t even feel like a job most days because it’s so fun, creative, and rewarding to make people feel confident and beautiful.
That said, it hasn’t always been easy. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to get consistent customers in the door and maintain steady growth, especially in the early stages. Balancing full-time motherhood and full-time entrepreneurship has also been a real test of patience and time management. There are times when it feels like both roles require all of me at once. But through it all, I’ve learned to stay grounded, keep faith in the process, and let my passion lead the way. Every challenge has strengthened my resilience and reminded me why I started to create a meaningful, joy-filled career doing what I love.

About My Work
I specialize in airbrush makeup, and for me, it’s more than just a technique, it’s part of how I care for my brides. I know how much stress and pressure a bride carries leading up to her wedding day, and I want makeup to be the one thing she doesn’t have to worry about. That’s why I use airbrush exclusively for all of my brides, that way she can relax, knowing her makeup will stay flawless no matter what.

What I’m most proud of is not just the makeup itself, but the peace of mind I give my brides. My goal is always to help them feel calm, confident, and radiant, so they can truly be present and enjoy every moment of their day. Looking and feeling their absolute best. Airbrush not only feels weightless and lasts all day, but it also gives brides their money’s worth with their hired professional photography. The airbrush finish photographs beautifully in every light, capturing their glow exactly as it looks in person.
