Rising Stars: Meet Delia Magic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Delia Magic.  

Hi Delia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi, my name is Delia; my photography journey is a long one. I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. My favorite class in high school was photography when we got to use the old 35mm, along with developing the pictures yourself in the darkroom it was such an amazing experience. I was always the girl with a camera in her hands every time we got together with friends or family; I was taking pictures of everyone. Fast forward a few years in my 20s my mom gave me her canon rebel t2i with some kit lenses and I loved that camera to the end of time. I took so many pictures of my son and just anything and anyone that would let me. I eventually got myself a full-frame camera started taking pictures of people and started my business Magic Moments photography. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a long road to get where I am, I wouldn’t say a super rough road but a long road. Some bumps and hills but nothing too terrible, my family has always been so supportive with my husband being my number one supporter. As he worked full time so I could stay home and work on my business. I am beyond blessed. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a photographer who specializes in maternity and newborn. I am definitely known for my maternity work I would say. I am most proud of how far I have come as a newborn photographer. 

I think what sets me apart is my work itself I am not like most newborn photographers. 

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was super outgoing, always loved to be around people and get to know everyone.
