Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Colombo
Hi Anthony, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started by starting a fanpage of the Detroit Pistons back In 2014 as hobby, I knew I wanted to get Into sports media In some capacity. Fast Forward to 2025 we reach about 15 million people per month covering the Detroit Pistons from making content to podcasts 4-5 days a week.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some struggles I had over the past 10 years, was taking jobs at different media companies taking my focus away from Pistons Talk. I soon realize If I wanted to make things work I needed to treat It like any other job I’ve had putting in long hours and to be consistent with It everyday.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work consist content creation and podcast production. I specialize In making original content and producing podcasts every week; What I am most proud of Is having the #1 Detroit Pistons media site on social media, what separates me apart from others Is my original content that doesn’t stop when the season is over we make content 7 days a week 365 days there Is no off-season for us.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Where I see the media industry in the next 5-10 years Is getting away from Live tv shows, Everyone will be live streaming on social media at some capacity, along with pusing out content on a more consistent basis.
