Today we’d like to introduce you to Amera Fattah.
Hi Amera, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As an event planner and brand designer, creativity takes on a new meaning to myself. I enjoy the details of planning someone’s memorable day as the best day – and every day leading up to it. The start of my interest peaked during college at Oakland University after a variety of opportunities to engage in student leadership positions. Whether it was restructuring the transportation program on campus, building infrastructures out of student suggestions, or hosting and speaking at events. I am most proud upon making connections between people, ideas, and innovations as a form of branding brilliance. The identity experience at Oakland University solidified a foundation for my transition into working throughout marketing roles and partaking in experiential events. Diverse industries and an assortment of career labels later, the entrepreneurial path seems to offer the all-inclusive hat. As a one that likes to be different, finding uniqueness is merely a way of spotlighting stories. To me, spotlighting stories is a format of someone’s being during their becoming. Present day, I am a founder of an advertainment company co+created to connect businesses, brands, and their personal brilliance through brandvertisements. Perhaps I’m not an inventor, I am a word designer and time traveler, and with that, I am here as a connection of how to transform your selfie to build a brand worth being.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Smooth when you look back. Rocky if you’re seeing it drawn out. Perception to me is a way of a narrative. No, not smooth when referring to the mental and emotional rollercoaster. Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle rollercoaster. Sometimes you move with the motion. Sometimes the motion moves you. The strongest struggle is the mental game – where you are, where you want to be, and all of the who’s along the way.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
About my work: Event Planner/ Brand Designer / Marketing Consultant … I do a lot of piecing puzzles and specialize in creating visuals from ideas and visions. I’m known for making up words but being very detail oriented. I’m a people person – someway, somehow as an introvert. I’m a designer by trade and inventor by mind. I’m most proud of being a mompreneur. Wearing a lot of hats, being a lot of people and parenting is a superpower I’m proud to have and be. That’s what sets me apart and what sets me as is.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck is a spiritual coincidence – like deja vu. I think it’s a label of feeling relevant to the situation. I don’t consider myself lucky as much as I am lucky to have the perception to choose such identification of a narrative. I find that when we seek luck – good or bad – it’s an orientation of a situation. Luck has been a compass of guiding Amera to herself. That’s the switch of third person to speaking of myself. Good luck is real life.
