Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Landa

Hi Amanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always had a passion for art and creativity. After my son was born, my husband encouraged me to channel that creativity again, so I decided to explore photography. I started by learning the basics and focusing on capturing everyday moments, especially as my son grew. Before long, friends and family began asking me to photograph their children, and what started as a simple hobby has since grown into a business that I’m truly thankful for.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest challenge has been setting boundaries and finding a balance between work and being a mom. It was a struggle at first as I got busier, but I’ve come to appreciate how flexible my schedule can be with the business I’ve built for myself.

I’m a lifestyle photographer specializing in family, capturing authentic moments and genuine connections. My goal is for clients to look back on their photos and feel the emotions of that time. My focus is on storytelling and creating personal, timeless images that are specific to my client. I take the time to understand each family’s unique bond, ensuring passion and purpose in everything I do.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
As a family photographer, I believe the most important quality for my success is the ability to build genuine connections with my clients. This helps families feel comfortable and relaxed, allowing their true personalities and relationships to shine in the photos. I always encourage my clients to just let their child or children take the lead during the session. A little chaos often results in the most genuine and heartfelt photos.
