Rising Stars: Meet Alicea Davis of Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicea Davis.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started in the 2000’s and now I paint with galleries in Paris (online).

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I was living with loved ones when I started my craft. I had just lost my house at 23 years old. It’s been rough since then, except for my husband pays all of the bills. THAT’S SMOOTH 😊 GOD IS GOOD!!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Racial healing. I’m also a poet and soul wound healing is my goal with racial and mental health topics!! What sets me apart from others is I approach these things with optimism! I am most proud of my website made to help and inform others!

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
NEVER GIVING UP. I wanted to give up but God wouldn’t allow my heart for change blow out!
