Rising Stars: Meet Aldora Gjonomadhi of Farmington Hills, MI

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aldora Gjonomadhi.

Hi Aldora, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved from Albania in 2003 at the age of 17. Worked in the retail industry as a personal stylist while studying marriage counseling and interior design. Graduated in 2011 with an associate in Liberal Arts and a Bachelors in Fine Arts. After graduation worked in custom Kitchen Designs, managed a high end furniture showroom at the MDC, then became a Senior Designer and Project Manager in a Birmingham firm and in March of 2021 Launched A.G.A Interior LLC as the firm’s owner and principal.
I have always had a love for technical drawings. That love was ignited while attending Sophomore year of High School in Albania, where we were hand drawing 3D renderings of car parts.

Then it developed further into floor plans and architectural layouts. Interior Design has been a very important part going into adulthood. I have grown exponentially on the business and artistic sides of it, and can not wait to expand to a greater extent. My goal is to have my own design and merchandise studio one day, and I am working zealously towards it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a pretty smooth road for the most part. I have been very fortunate to work alongside people with great values and aspirations. Additionally my family has been incredibly supportive of my decisions along the way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do Interior Design for residential and Commercial projects. I specialize in 3D renderings, customized layouts and overall project management. I am known to transform spaces into beautiful abdominal ones and I pride myself in mixing high end with inexpensive items and making them look incredibly cohesive. What sets me apart from others would be the ability to conduct business in a very calm, organized and strategic manner. Meeting and beating deadlines is crucial to the way I do business.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Just a little note in following your passion and believing in your abilities to create magic.
I absolutely think that once we find our “superpower” then the sky’s the limit. Push yourself a little beyond “that limit” and you will be shocked at the greatness that you will find.
