Meet Yaya The Healer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yaya The Healer.

Hi Yaya, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well, I’m a Psychic/Healer and Activist of MANY hats (Artist, TV Host, Model, Healer, Life Coach, Ordained Minister to name a few) because I have had a very trauma-filled life that in order to elevate through, I had to heal as I experienced. I naturally do this without effort people began to tell me that for a person who has experienced as much as I have, that I am extremely balanced, level-headed, and authentically generally happy. On my journey within I learned myself and realized that the things people practice to balance themselves I just naturally am so it’s effortless and effective not only for me but others that have been guided by me throughout my journey. My experiences have given me a heart for people who go through the MANY things I’ve been through such as molestation, Rape, Teen Pregnancy, Homelessness, Human Sex Trafficking, being held Hostage, Gang Violence, Betrayal, Loss, Police Brutality, and even more. I am blessed to have conquered my obstacles and still have peace within and the will to want to help people be their best selves on every level genuinely. So, I serve my community as a leader and a student in many avenues. Since a child I’ve always had this weird sense of knowing or seeing things before they happened although for many years, I thought something was wrong me. Then I learned more about these gifts and abilities and I began to tap into tarot, astrology, and the metaphysical world became more comfortable and confident in them and I began to share them with the world in 2020 Auntie Hammy a well-known social media comedian gave me a TV show on her Roku Network “The Unicorn Universe” where I taught on Self Love & Healing in the Spiritual and Metaphysical realm.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A smooth road “HELL TO THE NO” if I can say that lol. And it’s kind of wild because it’s like when you think you’ve gotten to a place you want to be life throws you another curve ball and gives you more experience to be even more of an aid to the next person, at least that’s my glittery perception and I’m sticking to it! I don’t really dwell on the things I’ve healed from unless they are learning tools for someone else or they create comfort by relations to a person who thinks I haven’t gone through anything. But ironically right after Jessica reached out to me about this interview, I became a victim of Police Abuse and Brutality in which I was unlawfully evicted from my home, thrown in jail under false charges, and lost every possession that I and my child have in an illegal lockout at the hands of a “Deceptive Detective” as I call her. So, if that isn’t a struggle, I’m not sure what is! So instead of buckling under the pressure of what I know will be restored, I’ve chosen to join the fight on homelessness and police brutality, and corruption in the city of Detroit in a more major scale. I’m in City Council meetings, Downtown Protest, Housing Board meetings so I can soak up all informations and resources to help heal another person situation.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a community healer and I wear many hats to do so. I heal through music as a recording artist with my life story, testimony, and lessons in the songs I write and perform. I heal through teaching the knowledge I have in the metaphysical healing arts such as Card Readings, holistic healing, aromatherapy, crystal healing, crafting beaded jewelry…etc. I heal my community with action as an active liaison between my community and government resources, as a fighter for justice and equality for family basic needs such as housing! I heal my community as Life Coach and Spiritual Advisor helping people navigate through life’s difficult obstacles with perception-shifting guidance. I heal the community by guiding people how to make their entrepreneur dreams a reality making them more reliable on self and preparing for generational wealth. What sets me aside from others is my unorthodox approach with a carefree spirit and potty mouth. I’m not really big on being liked I’m big on being real and authentic and genuine. I believe my bravery to expose the many traumatic experiences I have been through and are currently going through in order to continue to heal my community. I do not give up no matter what life brings my way this is my super power lol! Not many people have the abilities and talents, passion I possess, never the less survive and conquer their own battles to utilize these wonderful attributes to help the next person, and that I am proud of!

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
DO NOT GET DISTRACTED! When you find the thing that ignites your fire you can bet your last dollar that in most cases Murphy’s Law begins to become more reality than just something you heard in school. What’s Murphy’s Law? Anything that can go wrong will go wrong! I’ve noticed on my journey looking hindsight that everything after I found my passion as a Healer was meant to come and knock me from what I set my heart to do. Betrayals, breakups, loss, and whatever else that came gave me an option of perception, and when you look at things that come your way as something that is hurting or hindering you, then you may miss how it’s growing and pushing you directly on the path you’re meant to be on! DO NOT GET DISTRACTED BY THESE NEGATIVE PERCEPTIONS, PEOPLE, PLACES, SITUATIONS, OR THINGS… and evaluate things with the lenses of how these things come to teach sharpen and grow! Always speak life!
