Hi Tonya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my business as a means of extra income. At the time I was in grad school and could only work part time. I was working as a part time stylist in a retail store. Meaning I had to get dressed and work with woman daily. Over time, I started to get compliments on my handbags. After a little research I realized, I had an expensive eye for bags I couldn’t actually afford. I was buying dupes or ‘knock off” and didn’t know it,
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. Trying to run a business on your own is always challenging. It’s even harder with the way the world moves so quickly. What’s cool today may not be tomorrow. Social media also leads us to comparing every little thing we do to something or someone else. Even business owners. So the hardest part is staying focused and consistent no matter what.
We’ve been impressed with Kings Klutches, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
King’s Klutches is an online boutique located in Flint, MI, offering handbags, accessories, and apparel to fashionable women and men. Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Music and being a Mom. Music is something that can bring people together and completely change the energy of a person or space. I love being a mom because the entire experience has been life changing with so many years to go. Watching a human that you created grow and understand life will always be exciting to me.
