Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Morrow.
Hi Tiffany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Tiffany Morrow graduated from Haslett High in 2006, moved to Indiana for undergrad and then spent 9 months in Belize. In this third world country, Tiffany relished the simple and rustic living, but she also experienced firsthand the challenges faced in third-world countries. With ambitions to help children in underprivileged circumstance, Tiffany traveled to the University of Florida, where she received her master’s degree Family, Youth and Community Sciences and completed a research thesis on the effects of mentoring.
While at UF, the Lord sovereignly directed Tiffany’s path to Greenhouse Church where she met Jesus in a new, real and deep way. Her efforts to lift-up youth now centralized on helping students and their families encounter Jesus and His power.
From 2013 to 2016 Tiffany taught English, Logic and Psychology at a classical school in Gainesville, FL. During this time Tiffany heard of a saint named George Muller who radically inspired her faith, lifestyle and life purpose. Muller lived much like Jesus, radically generous, serving others, keeping nothing for himself and trusting God entirely to provide for his daily needs. In his lifetime Muller cared for thousands of orphans and never once asked another human for money. He relied solely on God and prayer. God never failed. Tiffany continues to read his autobiography on a yearly basis.
In 2017 Tiffany was invited to serve as program director for a non-profit serving low-income children who were falling behind in reading. In this position, Tiffany received her first specialized training in reading instruction. Then, in 2019 Tiffany returned to Michigan for a summer visit. She did not expect to stay. A month into her visit, Tiffany heard from the Lord “to stay” in Michigan. She had no idea why or what was ahead, but she obeyed. With all her things in FL and with no savings, she didn’t have enough to “move,” so she prayed. God provided.
Then God gave Tiffany two visions. The first was a vision of a business model, and the second was a vision of a location. The development of The Well Education Center began. No funds in hand. Every item: from the building itself to baseboards to ceiling tiles, to printers and tables were all acquired through prayer. Tiffany knew she was to operate The Well on a “Muller basis,” where The Lord is the sole benefactor, and in radical generosity, where 25-40% of all revenue is given to children in need. No marketing was done. No fundraising. No financial requests were made. Even students were prayed for. And the Lord brought students. All of whom had dyslexia.
In early 2021 Tiffany was provided an opening and the funds to participate in a prestigious and rigorous 100+ hours of dyslexia training. As Tiffany worked with more dyslexic students’ she sought a curriculum that was based on her trainings in Orton-Gillingham, but was faith-based and Jesus-centric. She could not find one!
Resultantly, in 2022 The Well began the process of writing its own curriculum, to share the Gospel of Jesus through robust phonics-based literacy instruction. Between 2022 and 2025, 15 individuals contributed to the development of the Gospel Literacy Curriculum, which aims to be completed in 2026!
Tiffany’s life mission continues to be: to leverage everything I have to make Jesus known, help children in need and be a living testimony of God’s power, faithfulness and love.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One struggle for Tiffany early on was loneliness, discouragement and naysayers. The visions God had given Tiffany looked impossible with no funds and some scoffed at her commitment to press forward even when there didn’t seem to be a way to make it work. The Well struggled at first to find the right board members. For two years Tiffany prayed for individuals to share the passion and work ethic and vision God had given her. God answered. In 2021 God brought Mrs. Ronda to The Well, and she was such a perfect fit, as if the heavens had opened and she’d fallen from the sky. Mrs. Ronda has been with The Well since January of 2022. Another board member joined the team shortly after.
Another challenge has been waiting. No one likes to wait. But as we have postured ourselves to be fully dependent on the Lord for all our needs, there are times that we simply are waiting for God’s timing. We intentionally choose not to seek to provide for ourselves in our own efforts or control. We believe that if God is for us and for the increase then He will provide all that is needed. Yet, if God is not for it, then He will not and neither do we want to proceed with it. Nevertheless, waiting is not easy. In hindsight we can always see that it strengthens us and strengthens our faith. For, when the provisions come we know beyond any shadow of a doubt that God Almighty is for us and mindful of us and acting on our behalf. And there isn’t a better feeling than that! Our faith only increases!
We’ve been impressed with The Well Education Center , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Well Education Center is a faith-based non-profit that provides educational services for our local community. These services range from: tutoring to curriculum development to teacher training. But what is more, and what really sets us apart, is that we simultaneously provide a philanthropic platform for the community to pay-it-forward, helping children in need – locally and globally.
On the Educational front, we specialize in literacy instruction for students with dyslexia or reading-specific-difficulties. We love Jesus,. And, we are passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus through robust phonics-based literacy instruction. Since 2022 we’ve been developing our own faith-based, Orton-Gillingham-based literacy curriculum. Set to be completed in 2026!
As an organization, The Well is mission-driven. We major on radical faith and radical generosity. What does that mean?? Radical faith looks like this: We operate entirely dependent on the Lord for all provision. That is we do no marketing, no fundraising and make no financial requests. When we have a need we bring it to The Lord in prayer and wait upon Him for direction or provision! He has never failed!
What does radical generosity look like? Since we began, we’ve given away 25-40% of every dollar received, primarily to children in need. Individuals who receive services through The Well are therefore furthering the well-being of other children in our community (and globally), as portions of their service-fees are paid-forward.
We hope that our lives of faith demonstrate God’s compassion, goodness, love and faithfulness. We hope that our uniquely generous business model will inspires others to live more radically generous lives.
How do you think about happiness?
Being part of passionate collaboration on a project that is bigger than oneself and serving with and alongside people in need of supports. Seeing children laughing and fully alive and loved and safe. Witnessing healing and growth and freedom!
