Meet Teresa of Traverse City Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teresa.

Hi Teresa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Absolutely! For 12 amazing years, I was a stay-at-home mom to four wonderful children. It was the most rewarding job, but as my kids grew older and more independent, I started thinking about what was next for me
something I could truly be passionate about.

One day, permanent makeup popped up on my newsfeed, and it immediately caught my attention. The artistry, precision, and confidence it brought to others really spoke to me. With the love and support of my husband, Jesse, I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue this new path.

I began my permanent makeup journey in 2022, starting with Ombré powdered brows, and quickly fell in love with the craft. I continued to train and refine my skills, always striving to grow as an artist. When I added Botched Ink® to my services, it opened a new chapter allowing me to help clients through both beautiful enhancements and transformative removals.

In June 2023, I officially launched my own business, Arched Ink Beauty Bar, and it has been an incredible journey ever since. One of my proudest accomplishments has been becoming one of nine certified Botched Ink® trainers in the United States, specializing in removal and correction. This opportunity allows me not only to work with clients but also to mentor and train other artists who want to master the art of safe, effective removals.

My passion for this work comes from the joy of helping others feel confident and from showing my children that with passion, dedication, and a dream, anything is possible.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
“Starting something new always comes with its challenges. Every client is unique, from their complexion to their bone structure and skin type, and learning how to tailor my techniques for each individual took time, patience, and a lot of practice.

The bumps and struggles along the way are all part of the journey. They push you to grow, improve, and become the best version of yourself.”

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in permanent makeup, focusing on brows, lips, and removals. I help clients feel confident and beautiful by creating results tailored to their unique features. I also love working with clients who want to refresh or correct previous work that no longer suits their style or lifestyle.

I’m known for my precision, attention to detail, and the way I make each client feel comfortable and cared for throughout the process. What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me and the relationships we build along the way. I take care with every detail, making sure each client leaves not just with beautiful results, but with confidence they can carry every day.

What sets me apart is my commitment to personalized care and creating a space where every client feels heard, valued, and confident in their own skin.
