Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Payne.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
For years I worked in the financial industry. I loved it but I didn’t feel valued there. In 2019 I got pregnant with my second son and decided I wanted more with my career. I started selling fur slides to my family and friends. Eventually, my customers at the bank started to buy them as well. I knew I was on to something. So, I created PrimAccents and started to sell them online as well. After the slides, we branched off to clothing but found our sweet spot in socks!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We’ve had many struggles over the years, that just comes with the territory. But I have a great support system. My husband and my mother have supported every crazy idea I’ve ever came up with. From opening a physical location to only close it within three months to COVID almost shutting us down, but we’ve never stopped.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Here at PrimAccents, we specialize in Slouch Socks and other hosiery items. We want to make your outfit pop here at PrimAccents. We strive to give everyone the best customer experience. One thing I’m proud of is my ability to handle all the stress that come along with owning a business. As a stay-at-home mom and wife who homeschools her oldest son while chasing a toddler, I have to stay very disciplined to make my vision for PrimAccents come to life.
What matters most to you? Why?
One thing that matters most to me is being an example for my children. If you have a dream, you can make that dream a reality with hard work and determination. I want them to see the good, bad, and ugly of being an entrepreneur. To know that you don’t ever have to be stuck at a job that makes you unhappy because of a paycheck. You can be your own boss and create the life you desire.
