Meet Taylor Dill-Reese of Taylors Touch Cleaning Service

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Dill-Reese.

Hi Taylor, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Once I became an adult, I knew I loved to help people, and I knew I wanted to have my own business. I was sitting at my desk preparing my clients’ small business taxes (they were in landscaping) when I asked them how they got started in business and how they got the capital to fund their business. After that conversation, the rest was history. I used my $400 check to purchase basic cleaning supplies, I had a friend create my logo, I used my God mom’s apartment portal to advertise for free and my business has grown since then. I went from working part-time in business and only having 2 clients to being a full-time entrepreneur with employees and servicing over 35 clients per month. We have literally helped hundreds of people all over the state live cleaner, and healthier lifestyles and have grown the business 90% off of referrals.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Lol nothing about this road has been smooth. My beginning struggles were knowing my worth and charging correctly for it. A lot of people took advantage of my low rates in the beginning. I was working long, long hours and barely making enough to keep a roof over my head. I had a young son, Dominic, at the time (he was 6) and had to provide for him, so things got rough. 3 years later, I got pregnant with my second child, Bella, and worked throughout my entire pregnancy (up until 2 days before I delivered her), sometimes by myself when staff weren’t able to assist. Then after having her, I went back 5 days post-partum because no one reminded me I didn’t have a maternity leave pay lol. So here I am 5 days later, working with a newborn either on me in a wrap or in a travel bassinet I carried around with me. Unfortunately, I was not able to make the money I was making prior to having her, so my vehicle was repossessed later that year. It wasn’t until about a year and a few months later, when the pandemic hit that I realized how bad I was shorting myself and how I needed to increase my rates. We were no longer playing small. Although income has increased, my business also experienced a staffing Drought, but we are still flowing through and helping people live cleaner lifestyles.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Taylors Touch Cleaning Service is a reliable, trustworthy, and efficient cleaning company that helps clients live cleaner and healthier lifestyles. We are different from other companies because we actually care and are compassionate about our clients; they become family. There have been times where I was a shoulder to cry on, a second pair of hands to rock the baby to sleep, and even a therapist encouraging them to keep pushing through. We all care, and we are all family, so when you use our services, you become family as well!

Alright, so before we go, can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
