Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone McIntosh.

Hi Simone, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Luxury Label Hair Company officially launched in 2019 while I was still in college. The idea came from my own experiences purchasing hair extensions. I was spending a lot of money on hair that didn’t always match the quality that was promised, and I felt there was room for a brand that focused on providing a more reliable, elevated experience. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Supply Chain Management, I started my career in corporate consulting, but entrepreneurship was always in the back of my mind.

When I started, I was doing everything myself while working a full-time corporate job. I was learning as I went—sourcing products, packing orders, creating content, managing customer service, and figuring out how to grow a business with limited resources. There were definitely moments when it felt overwhelming, but I genuinely enjoyed building something that was mine.

Over the years, the business has evolved quite a bit. In 2024, I rebranded Luxury Label Hair Company to better align with the vision I had for the company. I wanted the brand to feel more elevated and reflect the women we serve; women who value quality, confidence, and convenience.

Today, we’re known for our luxury hair extensions, but my vision has always been bigger than hair. I want Luxury Label Hair Company to grow into a trusted beauty and lifestyle brand that helps women look and feel their best without overcomplicating their routines.

Looking back, one of the things I’m most proud of is simply staying committed. Building a business while working full-time has taught me a lot about resilience, patience, and believing in a vision before everyone else, even myself, can see it. I’m quickly entering the scaling phase of my business after building a strong foundation these past 7 years, I’m excited about where we’re headed and the impact we will continue to make as we grow!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most entrepreneurs, the journey hasn’t been completely linear.

One of the biggest challenges has been balancing growth with maintaining the level of quality and experience I want customers to associate with Luxury Label Hair Company. As a product-based business, there are always decisions to make around inventory, sourcing, operations, and customer expectations. I’ve always believed that protecting the integrity of the brand is more important than growing quickly, which sometimes means making the more difficult decision in the short term.

Another challenge has been building the company while maintaining a full-time corporate career. Learning how to manage my time effectively, prioritize what truly moves the business forward, and remain consistent through different seasons has been a continual lesson.

I’ve also learned that entrepreneurship requires a great deal of patience. In today’s world, it’s easy to see overnight success stories, but most businesses are built through years of steady work behind the scenes. There have been moments where growth happened more gradually than I anticipated, but those periods taught me how to build a stronger foundation and focus on long-term sustainability rather than short-term wins.

Looking back, I wouldn’t necessarily change those experiences because they’ve shaped how I lead today. They’ve taught me to be intentional, adaptable, and committed to creating a brand that can stand the test of time.

Luxury Label Hair Company is a luxury hair extensions brand created for women who value quality, confidence, and effortless beauty.

While we are known for our premium hair extensions, I’ve always envisioned the brand as more than just a hair company. From the beginning, I wanted to create an experience that felt closer to a fashion house than a traditional beauty brand. Every touchpoint—from our product collections and packaging to our customer experience—is intentionally designed to feel elevated, refined, and personal.

What sets us apart is our commitment to both product quality and service. We pair exceptional-quality hair with a white-glove customer experience, ensuring our customers feel supported before, during, and after their purchase. In an industry that often prioritizes volume, we’ve chosen to focus on building trust, delivering consistency, and creating long-term relationships with our customers.

Our collections are designed for women who want luxury without complication—women who are building careers, businesses, families, and full lives, but still want to feel polished and confident every day. We believe beauty should enhance a woman’s lifestyle, not add more work to it.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the brand we’ve built and the community that continues to support it. Many of our customers return because they know exactly what to expect: beautiful hair, thoughtful service, and a brand that genuinely values their experience.

As we continue to grow, my vision is to expand Luxury Label Hair Company into a broader luxury beauty and lifestyle brand. While hair extensions remain our foundation, we’re building a brand centered on helping women feel elevated, confident, and effortlessly put together in every season of life.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
My definition of success has evolved over time. Earlier in my career, I probably would have measured success by milestones, titles, or financial achievements. While those things still matter, I’ve come to see success as having the ability to create something meaningful, remain true to my vision, and positively impact the people I serve along the way.

True success is having the courage to pursue something bigger than yourself. Building a business requires a lot of faith, resilience, and persistence, especially when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. For me, success is continuing to show up, continuing to grow, and continuing to build even when the path isn’t always clear.

Ultimately, I hope to create a brand that has longevity and impact. If Luxury Label Hair Company can continue to serve women well, create opportunities for others, and become a business that lasts for generations, I would consider that a success.
