Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone English.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Simone English wife, mom, veteran & CEO of English Estates. English Estates is a transaction coordinator business that supports real estate agents and brokers throughout the entire contract-to-close process. At the time I launched the business (2021), I was relocating from Michigan to Tennessee and I knew I wanted to stay connected to the real estate industry and serve others in a meaningful way. At first, it was just a side hustle as I was a stay at home mom, but I wanted to find a way to do what I love but still be present with my two children. I had strong background in administration and a foundation built in the military, so the structure, organization, and service to support others came naturally to me. I started marketing on social media, did email blasts, and then I finally partnered with my first 1-2 agents. My work, precision and professionalism spoke for itself and the referrals started rolling in! Now we service agents from all over the state, close hundreds of real estate transactions per year! My goal is to keep expanding and create a team of highly qualified transaction coordinators! Rooted in faith and family, English Estates is more than just a business, it’s a mission! We’re here to serve families, support agents, and make a difference in Michigan real estate through structure, service, and faith-based integrity.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a transaction coordinator is a rewarding but demanding role. Some challenges we face are the various changes in real estate platforms and learning them for each agent we partner with. The high communication demands because we serve as the central hub of communication for the transaction. And, sometimes the lack of recognition, since our role is behind the scenes, even though we’re holding the deal together, we don’t always get the credit or appreciation of the work. Despite these few challenge, being a transaction coordinator is highly impactful!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
