Meet Sarah Vogt of Healing Creations

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Vogt. 

Hi Sarah, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hello loves! I’m Sarah Mae, the owner of Healing Creations Apothecary and The Healing Oracle. 

Growing up, I have always had spiritual and psychic abilities; however, I suppressed them for the majority of my life due to unhealed trauma, lack of awareness, and fear. During the pandemic, I no longer had a way to avoid the fear and unprocessed trauma and began therapy. This is also when I began opening up and reflecting on my spiritual beliefs. 

Initially, I began making my own organic self-healing products to use at home. I was learning about the chemicals they put in our soaps and how damaging they are to our human development and overall health. Creating my own products brought out my inner child, reminding me of the times I would make potions out of leaves and sticks and sugar scrubs with honey and sugar. This was during an emotionally releasing time for me as I was in trauma-focused therapy for sexual abuse and eating disorders. Putting my focus and energy into creating self-healing products really allows me to channel so much pain, shame, and heaviness into love, creativity, and healing. 

At the time, with so much stress of processing childhood trauma, I was struggling at my 9-5 job and decided the best course of action was to quit and focus on my mental health. 

As I began to add herbalism, aromatherapy, and crystal healing into my products, many of my friends and family encouraged me to sell products to them, which eventually led me to creating my own business. I started Healing Creations in February of 2021 as a way to share my story and truth to connect with others who resonate and build a community focused in self-healing so that even when we’re alone, we know that we’re healing together. 

This healing journey has led me to discover and connect with my abilities through oracle readings. I have been reading oracle cards intuitively for a little over 2 years now and more recently opened The Healing Oracle in January of 2022. I would have never “unlocked” my gifts without the immense amount of inner child and shadow work I have done and continue to do. Healing is a lifelong journey. Discovering my power has inspired me to share it with others, encouraging you to find yours. I have been blessed with claircognizant, clairsentient, clairvoyant, and mediumship abilities. I believe the universe has many ways and tools to help guide us through our lives. I am grateful to have the ability to connect with the world and my clients on such a beautifully divine level. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a balance. 

In the beginning, I didn’t have many expectations for where I wanted to go moving forward. My goal was to inform others on the benefits of self-healing, herbalism, aromatherapy, and crystal healing. Often times I wasn’t prepared for the support from my customers’ orders and gained a lot of new customers quickly. 

I put personal intentions into each product while hand making them; I also hand stamp the packaging and make my own labels. When I started, I never took the time to really see the reality of how much I have to do on my own, which is what left me underprepared. Learning to be disciplined, consistent and serious about myself and my business has been a much-needed challenge and keeps me prepared. These challenges have guided me to step into my power of trusting and believing in myself, knowing that I am capable of navigating through any challenge. 

We’ve been impressed with Healing Creations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As I become more trauma-informed, I’ve learned the importance of support and community. Building a sense of community is very important to me, which is why I’m consistently thinking of and experimenting with new ways to connect with others to open our awareness and perceptions as the collective. 

I offer free services and information through my social media; I post collective readings, sound healing meditations, and more! As well as weekly specials on readings. Healing Within is a free personal blog where I share more awareness on sexual abuse and speak my truth. 

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned on my business journey is keeping boundaries with work relationships vs. personal relationships. Mixing the two can get a little messy when boundaries aren’t involved. There are so many resources available to gain knowledge and connect with others to gain wisdom in a business aspect so that I don’t have to cross a boundary with myself by involving personal relationships.
