Meet Rahnda (Loussia) Myers of Sola Salon Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rahnda (Loussia) Myers.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I come from a long line of hardworking and diverse business owners, so entrepreneurship has always been in my blood. I am the eldest of three girls, a wife, and a mom of three, and those roles have shaped my work ethic and my outlook on life in such a meaningful way.

My path really came together when I partnered with my family to help salon professionals become independent while still having a strong support system behind them. At Sola Salons we focus on giving beauty professionals the freedom to build their own business and brand while knowing they have a network that believes in them. Being part of their growth and seeing their confidence rise has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.

That combination of family roots, leadership, and a love for helping others create their own success is what brought me to where I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a completely smooth road. In business things are never always smooth, but that is part of the journey. You learn how to adjust and adapt, and you stay consistent even when things get challenging. One of the biggest parts of what I do is keeping our salon professionals happy and making sure they feel seen and heard. That takes real intention and constant communication.

There have also been moments when balancing time and boundaries felt overwhelming, especially while raising a family and staying present for everyone who counts on me. But those challenges are exactly what make my work so meaningful. Every lesson and every obstacle has shaped me, and being able to support others while growing myself has made this path incredibly beautiful and fulfilling.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a partner with Sola Salon Studios, and what we do is give salon professionals a place where they can build their own business with real freedom and real support. We are a community built on independence, professionalism, and care, and that is what truly sets us apart.

Unlike traditional salons or other suite concepts, we focus on giving our pros everything they need to run a successful business from day one. Our studios come with high end fixtures and beautiful private spaces that feel elevated and thoughtful. We also provide advanced scheduling and point of sale systems along with a personalized website for each professional so their clients can find them easily. We actively help drive clients to our pros because their success is our success.

The support does not stop there. Our teams are available around the clock, and we stay connected through ongoing communication, maintenance, and hands on care. We also offer continuing education and resources that help our pros grow creatively and professionally. Giving back to our communities is another important part of who we are, and we show up in ways that matter.

One of the things I am most proud of is our new Sola exclusive hair care line which gives our pros the opportunity to earn commission even when they are not working. It is another way we pour back into them and help them build long term income.

What I want readers to know is simple. Sola is a place where beauty professionals can feel supported, valued, and free to create a business that is truly their own. We offer independence with a community behind it and we are committed to helping our pros shine at every stage of their journey.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is growing up in San Diego surrounded by the people who made my world feel full and safe. Life at home with my two sisters and my parents was always lively. I loved that energy. I also had childhood friends who have stayed by my side all the way into adulthood.

Most of our days centered around the water. We would spend entire afternoons at the beach or the pool, swimming, talking, and losing track of time. We would order pizza right to the beach and eat it with sandy hands without a care in the world. Nights often ended around a bonfire, all of us crowded together sharing stories, teasing each other, and laughing in ways that only kids who truly love each other can.

This was long before social media. We were present, and we lived every moment without trying to capture it or curate it. Those memories are still so vivid. Even now the smell of the ocean or the sound of a fire crackling can take me right back to those days. It was a simple, warm, and beautiful way to grow up, and it shaped the kind of person I became.
