Meet PJ McGeary of Arbor Trail Cleaning Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to PJ McGeary.

PJ, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started the business in 2022 with my mom and sister and we have continued growing it to where we are today roughly 3.5 years later!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I first started, I knew 95% less than what I know now. So the biggest struggle along the way was learning to be okay with not being perfect. You have to just do things and learn by trial and error. The quote “done is better than perfect” was a great way for me to push myself to get started.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are the #1 rated house cleaning service in Westland and surrounding cities (Livonia, Plymouth, Northville, Ann Arbor, etc). We have over 1,000 5-star Google reviews and this is by far our biggest accomplishment. We are now ranking higher than national franchises in our area that have been in business for 15-20 years. I would like our readers to know that treating people the way you want to be treated and going above and beyond for every single customer interaction is a recipe for long-term success.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Discipline. It’s easy to be motivated when things are going well, but discipline is what powers you through the valleys when things are not going well. It’s very easy to lose motivation, some days are better than others. Discipline to continue working and showing up will take you farther than almost anything else.
