Today we’d like to introduce you to Paulette Darling.
Hi Paulette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
For the past 11 years in California, we have collaborated with community events in all levels. Meeting each other in 2019, we vowed to get married with Curt’s’ longtime friend Roger Moyer in Sturgis, Michigan. In 2022 we traveled to Michigan to get married, then to Daytona 500 for honeymoon. Arriving back home, we realized how beautiful Michigan was. We sold our home in 12 hours and bought our current home virtually in beautiful Owosso. We knew we wanted to bring our skills of event planning and our Strawberry Festival here to Shiawassee County. June 23rd, we had over 3000 people shopping, eating, playing, and enjoying music at the Shiawassee Fairgrounds. In 2024 we are planning a Father’s Day Celebration weekend with a patriot to the Beatles. Local band “Shout.” Over 50 strawberry vendors and so much more
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was a hard move letting go of many treasures from years of collection. Curt owned a 69 Camaro ss and Chevy 55 step-side pick-up. We had several cars, trailer, 2 cats 1 dog, and we said it was time to lighten our house load and build new memories. Our wish was a home by the water, brick, and single level. Basements are a given here, where they are not in California. Researching the area of Owosso and Kalamazoo we made an offer on our current home.

Eventz2U has been producing consumer trade shows, vendor shows, team building, and expos for over a decade. We invite you to attend one of our small or large events and see for yourself the expertise and lime lighting of all our participating vendors.
Our mission is to educate, empower, advocate, and provide hands-on fun at every one of our Events.
We create Team building for many organizations.

We have had good luck through moving to Owosso and being welcomed by many to help participate in events and come aboard many committees across Shiawassee County
