Hi Morgan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As an avid lover of all things wedding, I found a home within the bridal industry almost 10 years ago. As I grew to understand what couples were wanting and needing out of an experience when finding their wedding attire, I knew I needed to create a safe space for them. Enter the creation of the very first mobile bridal boutique in Michigan, Magnolia Bridal. Starting Magnolia Bridal during the midst of the pandemic saved me. Being able to provide a new and unique experience to brides during a time when other shops needed to shut down, gave brides a sense of relief and normalcy in unprecedented times. By Fall of 2021, we had crazy demand for our wedding dress shopping services and knew it was time to find a home for Magnolia Bridal. Our shop today sits proudly in Jenison, our beautiful hometown we live, work and play in!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting any business is a risk, starting a business in lockdown was a whole additional level of risk. Our people showed up and supported us from day one and we are eternally grateful. We loved the experience we were able to provide brides by traveling to them and giving them a one of a kind wedding dress shopping celebration. However, as the world opened back up, we needed more space and more staff. Upon opening our Jenison, MI bridal shop, we were met with kindness from brides and other local businesses. As big supporters of small and local businesses, we could not have asked for a better place to call home than West Michigan.

Magnolia Bridal is a safe haven for brides and couples from all backgrounds and walks of life. We celebrate and promote only love in our bridal store. Our bridal gowns are sourced from reputable designers who are as passionate about our work as we are. Between Allure Bridals, a few other designers, and our very own private label brand, Marley Rae, we are able to match every bride with their perfect wedding dress in a size they are comfortable in and that fits their ideal price point for a wedding dress. We have expanded our services at Magnolia Bridal over the past year to include suit rental and purchase options as well as a final steaming service we offer to wedding parties prior to the big day.

Magnolia Bridal is dedicated to celebrating every single one of our wonderful couples, in a welcoming and inviting space. We are proud to be the most size inclusive bridal shop in Grand Rapids with our bridal gowns ranging from size 0-40.

Magnolia Bridal is also quickly becoming the number one shop for moms to visit when looking for their Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom dress in Grand Rapids.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I think we are very lucky to be supported by brides and community members. Without them, there wouldn’t be a Magnolia Bridal! Life is all about taking risks, and if you weigh each risk individually, your luck may just improve! We are also huge believers in ‘what’s meant to be, will be’, we know there is a need for what we offer to couples and strive to be our best day in and day out.
