Meet Monica Iannuzzi of Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Iannuzzi.

Hi Monica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel confident, which is what first led me into the aesthetics industry. I spent years as a Medical Aesthetician, where I loved educating clients and helping them achieve healthy skin through realistic, evidence-based care rather than chasing every new trend.

Everything shifted when I became a mom in my late 30s. Around that same time, I walked through a season of significant personal change that included stepping away from a career I truly loved, relocating, and experiencing the loss of my dad. It wasn’t a simple decision or a path I had planned, but it challenged me to rethink my identity, my priorities, and what success really looked like.

As I settled into motherhood and began rebuilding this new chapter of life, I found myself becoming much more intentional—not only with skincare, but with how I spent my time, money, and energy. I started questioning the pressure to constantly buy more, do more, and be more. That mindset shift eventually inspired me to begin creating content.

Today, I combine my background as a former Medical Aesthetician with my experiences as a woman and mom to share practical skincare advice, intentional living, and the everyday lessons I’m learning along the way. My goal is to encourage others to slow down, be more thoughtful about what they bring into their lives, and realize that sometimes less really can be more.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but looking back, I can see how each challenge helped shape who I am today.

One of the biggest challenges was stepping away from a career that I genuinely loved. I had spent years building my identity as a Medical Aesthetician, and suddenly I found myself in a completely different season of life. Becoming a mom, relocating, and losing my dad all happened within a relatively short period of time, and I had to learn how to navigate grief, change, and the uncertainty of starting over.

More recently, building a presence as a content creator has come with its own challenges. It’s easy to compare yourself to others or feel pressure to constantly chase trends and growth. I’ve had to remind myself that my purpose isn’t to go viral—it’s to create content that is honest, helpful, and aligned with my values.

If there’s one lesson I’ve learned, it’s that growth rarely happens during the easy seasons. Some of the hardest moments have also been the ones that clarified what truly matters. They taught me to be more intentional, to embrace slower growth, and to trust that authenticity has a lasting impact.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Today I create content that encourages women to make more intentional choices—in skincare, shopping, and everyday life. While my background as a former Medical Aesthetician gives me a strong foundation in skincare education, my content has evolved far beyond beauty alone.

I enjoy helping people cut through the noise. Whether I’m talking about skincare, Amazon finds, or daily habits, I want people to feel empowered to make thoughtful decisions instead of feeling pressured to constantly buy the next trending product. I believe confidence doesn’t come from owning more—it comes from understanding what truly works for you.

What I’m most proud of is creating a space that feels honest and relatable. I don’t believe every recommendation has to be expensive, every routine has to be complicated, or every trend deserves our attention. If something is worth investing in, I’ll say so. If it isn’t, I’ll say that too.

I think what sets me apart is the combination of professional experience and real-life perspective. I spent years educating clients as a Medical Aesthetician, and now I bring that same educational mindset into my content while also sharing the realities of motherhood, personal growth, and learning to live more intentionally. My hope is that people leave my page feeling informed, encouraged, and confident enough to make decisions that truly fit their own lives rather than simply following the crowd.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I do believe some of the most meaningful growth comes from being willing to step into the unknown when your values point you in a new direction.

One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was stepping away from a career I loved and knew well. It wasn’t something I had planned, and there were moments when it felt like I was leaving behind a big part of my identity. More recently, I’ve taken another kind of risk by putting myself out there as a content creator. Sharing your thoughts and experiences online can be intimidating, especially when you’re building something that’s deeply personal.

I’ve also learned that sometimes the biggest risk isn’t trying something new—it’s staying in a place that no longer aligns with who you’re becoming. As my perspective on beauty, consumption, and intentional living evolved, I realized my content needed to evolve too. Changing direction meant letting go of what felt familiar, but it also allowed me to create something that feels much more authentic.

Today, I still take thoughtful risks, but they’re guided by purpose rather than fear of missing out. I’ve found that when my decisions align with my values, even uncertain paths become worthwhile.
