Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Meldrum.
Hi Mike, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in a large family (one of six kids) this has shaped who I am and continue to be today. I started my career in real estate in 2013 while I was working a full-time job in retail and completing my bachelor’s degree from Rochester University. I knew I wanted to get into sales, as I had a passion for helping others and have been told that I have a charismatic personality with a positive attitude. On my quest to discover what type of entrepreneurial venture I would like to take (during college), I had a friend whose dad was a real estate broker and asked me to come to a business networking event. It took a few months to make the decision (due to the market not being so good in 2012), but I came to the conclusion that if I was going to sell anything, the largest asset that someone may ever own/someone to call home, would be a rewarding and adventurous path to go down.
I made it a goal to be able to leave my retail job by the end of 2014; this was also when I would be graduating from college. Within the first six months of being in real estate, I was gratefully fortunate to have the ability to leave my retail job and sell real estate full-time. My first few years in were challenging yet rewarding. My business organically grew through helping family, friends, and referrals. I pride my business on my service, and that is how I have been able to build a business based on referrals. My team and I consider ourselves resources for life with our clients. We host appreciation events throughout the year and invite everyone who has supported us through the years. I am nearly ten years in the business now and am proud that I have had the honor of serving/representing hundreds of families in the sale and purchase of their homes, with a sales volume over $100 Million. I love what I do because helping people has been instilled in me by my family. It is our passion.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been a smooth road, and there have been plenty of rough patches along the way. I’ve had to make a lot of challenging decisions and have taken on many opportunities that did not work out, but this has shaped me to who I am today. I do not fear failure; I see obstacles in life as opportunities to learn, reflect and become more self-aware.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What do you think about happiness?
1.) Helping people | 2.) Spending time with my family and friends
1.) Zig Ziglar said, “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help other people get what they want.” I believe that serving others leads to a fulfilling life, and that’s why helping people makes me happy.
2.) Because my family and friends are the best. They have been such positive influences on me and who I am today. They keep me grounded, humbled, provide support, and tough love when needed. They are authentic.
