Today we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Mitchell.
Hi Meagan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my journey as a social worker and educator with a deep passion for helping people learn, grow, and meet their professional goals. Early in my career, I worked closely with children, families, and communities, building a strong foundation in early childhood and special education. Over time, I realized that my heart was equally invested in supporting the professionals who serve these communities, especially social workers.
What began as small, individualized ASWB test-prep support slowly grew into something much bigger. During the pandemic, when so many people sought stability and career advancement, I expanded my services to meet the needs of adult learners across the country. I began offering group preparation, digital learning tools, and accessible content designed to help social workers pass their licensure exams and step confidently into the field as advocates, leaders, and agents of change. We’ve grown into a continuing-education platform dedicated to helping mental health professionals expand their skills, advance their careers, and continue delivering impactful, quality, and ethical care.
Drawing from over a decade of helping individuals pass their ASWB exams, I created a comprehensive course that reflects not only the strategies that work, but the compassion, encouragement, and community that social workers deserve. I’ve always loved combining my passion for learning with my desire to share knowledge, and this work allows me to invest in the profession in a meaningful way.
Alongside test preparation, I’m deeply interested in the field’s future. I explore how technology and innovation intersect with social work practice, particularly how digital tools can enhance learning, supervision, and service delivery. I’m also committed to multicultural supervision and ethics, ensuring that diverse voices are valued, understood, and supported in professional spaces.
Academically, I’ve built my path around understanding people and empowering communities. I hold a Master of Social Work in Interpersonal Practice with Children, Youth, and Families from the University of Michigan, a Master of Special Education from SE Oklahoma State, and a Doctor of Social Work from the University at Buffalo. Today, I continue to grow my business, support adult learners, and advocate for the next generation of social workers, helping them lead with purpose, confidence, and a commitment to change.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth. Is it ever smooth when starting a business? Starting my business came with challenges, setbacks, and a lot of learning along the way. Nothing about building something from the ground up is ever easy, and at times I struggled with where to start, how to stay focused, and how to balance everything at once.
I also dealt with moments of imposter syndrome, and I still do! There were times when I questioned whether I was doing enough or capable enough to make things work. But each challenge taught me something new and pushed me to grow. The obstacles weren’t easy, but they’ve shaped me and helped me grow along the way.
