Meet MarShon Goode-Peoples of Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to MarShon Goode-Peoples.

Hi MarShon , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my own nonprofit Inspirational Youth for Christ back 1999 to empower youth through their talents. However, back in 2012, I was shot in the head while protecting teens from gang violence at safe haven event I was hosting. I wrote a memoir about my experience in my book titled Epiphany The Designated Bullet, telling my story of tragedy to triumph. A story of resilience and recovery due to a praying single mother who declared, “My son shall live and not die.”
What I’m doing now is, as a mentor, I still empower families to optimize their earning potential through their youth; especially moms with their sons.
I created a faith-based mentorship for single moms with their sons called Designated Destiny Transformation Blueprint ™ Mentorship program.
It’s a 90 Day online transformation coarse for single moms to help with the awkward teenage years. Mom has full control of my or other mentor’s interactions. For more details visit www.goodepeoples.com

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it hasn’t been a smooth road by far. The road to recovery was a big challenge such as: relearning to walk, to relearning reading comprehension, and occupational therapy, it all took prayer, time and patience.
As I was healing, I took care of my mom from 2018 to 2020 then she (Doris Ann Peoples) transitioned to be with her LORD in January 2020. She told me to get the book out…and that’s what I did. Hopefully I can help other single moms and/or families with the lessons she taught me.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a author of my memoir Epiphany The Designated Bullet survivor of a bullet to my head while protecting teens from gang violence.

Also I radio host a show called The Good People’s Praise Mix on WJZD Radio Detroit on Sunday’s 12 to 2 pm EST

And I host a podcast called The Podcast For Good People! Showcasing positive companies, organizations, causes and feedback stories from the communities I visit.

I specialize in mentorship and optimizing families earning potential through their youth. Thereby, providing for their children’s children.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
What quality or characteristic do I feel is most important to my success is my faith. As a believer in a relationship with the Almighty ABBA Father and staying in the Word of God. It’s in Him, I have the strength to keep going to do all things according to what He has purposed in me. I give God all the glory.
