Meet Mariah Powell of King’s Kid Publishing

Mariah is the young and innovative founder of King’s Kid Publishing. She is not only a courageous leader within her community but also an intelligent entrepreneur in her own right. Mariah was born and raised in the city of Detroit, Michigan. At the age of 17, she began pursuing the journey of empowering others through discovering their creative purpose. In 2015, she founded the creative new vision, King’s Kid Publishing. This exciting new book publishing company quickly began to thrive specializing in graphic cover design, professional editing, social media branding, writing seminars, and wholesale printing. Mariah is now making major moves as a speaker, YouTuber, author, and entrepreneur. She believes that impact begins with passion. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Starting a book publishing business hasn’t always been easy. During the primary years of our development, I found many challenges in creating a successful business structure because book publishing isn’t necessarily a popular market. This later worked out in my favor because the exclusivity of publishing books placed King’s Kid Publishing in a position of value that now allows us to dominate our market. Another struggle that I faced in business was developing an effective customer flow. As a company that offers digital products, connecting with my clients is very important to me. In the initial years of business, learning how to understand, interpret and recreate the vision of my clients wasn’t always an easy task. With grace, time and experience, we were able to develop an effective system that allows us to optimize communication with customers throughout the book publishing process.

King’s Kid Publishing is an independent publisher and wholesale printer dedicated to excellence in providing affordable services to new and existing authors. We’ve helped writers, CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, influencers, content creators, motivational speakers and so many more to expand their brands and platforms through publishing their books. As a publisher, I publish and design books of all kinds including novels, devotionals, biographies, self-help books, fiction, poetry, children’s books, journals, planners, and much more! I would definitely say that King’s Kid Publishing is known for great customer service and delivering both fast and efficient work. I am so proud of the clients that I get to work with. Given the opportunity to see creative leaders within my community bring their dreams to life has been absolutely phenomenal. 

What’s next?
My plans for the future are definitely to expand the productivity of the company and also open a book store/coffee shop where authors will have a creative space to read as well as enjoy a healthy snack.
