Today we’d like to introduce you to Louis Calhoun II.
Hi Louis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up in Detroit I was always a creative person. Now I have finally been able to display that creativity in a truly tangible way. I think that my years developing my art and basketball lead to what I have today with ‘The Shot’. One day I was shooting around and it hit me, “I wish I could track my shooting percentage.” And boom there it was. The idea of ‘The Shot’ was born.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it has not been a smooth road. In developing an invention there are alot of steps that have to be taken. I had to find the right people to help me develop and I’m still looking for the right people so it’s definitely a challenge but it’s rewarding at the same time.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a founder and inventor it is my pleasure to introduce ‘The Shot’ to the world. The future of shooting starts here. ‘The Shot’ is a wearable device that will track basketball players shooting percentage among other metrics that will allow players to track their shooting accuracy. This brand will revolutionize how players train snd track their performance.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see this industry going to the moon. The way I see it there is so much potential to grow with tech that it’s really about choosing a lane and diving in. The trend is definitely leaning towards artificial intelligence.and I’ve been diving in that as much as possible.
