Today we’d like to introduce you to Lennie D McGuire-Kass.
Hi Lennie D, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with the creation of my gnomes begain with Covid 19 and required in home quarantine. My gnomes began initially as Christmas gifts, and everyone encouraged me to continue to make these little guys and share with other gnome enthusiasts. I’ve been consistently making them ever since taking the winter months to recoup and replenish my making supplies.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A smooth road? Definitely not however each hurtle has enabled me to manage my gnome life and family in a semi balanced nature. My family is a BIG supporter of my success. The only big issues along the way is supply & demand as the love for gnomes has not slowed down through the years as fads usually do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a wife, mother, grandmother and gnome maker. My career path (history) has changed tremendously as I chose the medical field with tremendous satisfaction from helping others where I could. When the decision to end my career, then Covid came with the entrance to making my gnomes. I have zero regrets for this big change to continue with being “A Gnome Maker”.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Family support for the encouragement and motivating thoughts they give me. I couldn’t do this without them.
