Meet Lauren Conlin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Conlin. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Lauren Conlin is an NYC-based communications expert, entertainment journalist, and host. Lauren is currently an entertainment & lifestyle reporter for Pop Style TV and the host of two weekly podcasts; while concurrently handling PR for New York City political figures. You can check out Lauren’s entertainment & news podcast, ‘Lauren Interviews’ (formerly Red-Carpet Rendezvous), wherever podcasts are available. Recently, Lauren teamed up with 98 Degrees Jeff Timmons to launch ‘Millennials Revealed, “a podcast highlighting the Y2K culture. Previously, Lauren was 77WABC Radio’s News Anchor & Entertainment Reporter, gracing the airwaves 6x a day! She also hosted a Sunday morning health & wellness show on WOR710, The Voice of New York. Currently, Lauren is a contributor for Sky News Arabia, AM970& Compound America. She’s also had appearances on Fox News, News Nation & Newsmax TV. To date, she’s been on the air with celebrities & politicians ranging from Andrew Yang to Alec Baldwin. she even softened up Bill O’Reilly on ‘No Spin News! 

Lauren was also an executive producer for George Whipple of NY1 News; assisting with George’s most successful segments in 2019; such as New York Fashion Week, the ‘Game of Thrones Series Finale, The Met Gala, and The Tribeca Film Festival + The New York Film Festival. 

Lauren is the co-owner of the media and production company, Magicshak, where she runs operations and digital marketing efforts. Through Magicshak, Lauren was hired to host the ‘Rock of Ages’ 10th Anniversary Celebration on Broadway, ‘Home for the Holidays Opening Night on Broadway, ‘Cruel Intentions’ Opening Night at NYC hotspot ‘Le Poisson Rouge,’ and many more. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are so many ups and downs! The highs and lows are crazy, but the ‘highs’ make it all worthwhile. The entertainment & media world is cutthroat, and you must have thick skin. Some weeks I am extremely busy with stories, breaking news & interviews; some weeks, it’s dead, and I think it’s going to be my last week in the business because my phone isn’t ringing! It’s hard to get used to that, 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Entertainment Journalist & Communications- I conduct interviews on my podcast, Lauren Interviews, and comment on the latest entertainment news on various news stations. I’m very proud of my interviews on my podcast- I’ve interviewed everyone from Alec Baldwin to Malcolm McDowell to Laura Dern.

Anything is possible if you work hard! I broke into this business having little no experience.
