Today we’d like to introduce you to Lacey Beougher
Hi Lacey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a crafty person at heart, and I love food! My mother owned an ice cream shop growing up and would often make cakes for people. She had terrible handwriting, and as soon as I was able to write, she would have me write on the cakes for her. This interest grew and grew, and I have been making cakes and desserts for quite a while! In the past 3-5 years, I have really tried to develop my skills by attending classes and workshops in the past few years, which has really made my interest grow! I love the joy that desserts bring to people, and I love to make them personal.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a single person, running a business, there are always stressors! I also work as a social worker at a children’s hospital and am a mother of two! So, finding balance between the three ‘duties’ can be difficult! I find baking extremely therapeutic, therefore, it is really what I like to do for fun!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a baker! I really prefer to make cakes for weddings, showers and parties! I also offer decorated cookies and numerous other types of desserts. I am really proud of the cakes that I make and design on my own. When I am able to deliver and set up a cake, it brings me so much pride and really fills my cup. I really take pride in each cake/dessert that I make. I love to hear the stories and inspirations from brides/families and meet them where they are and hope to design something special for them!
