Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla (prefer Kiior) Smith
Kayla (prefer Kiior), we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started doing lashes in September of 2024; at first it was an interest of mines I just never found the time. When I went on strike at work I started practicing lash extensions everyday. In September my friends trusted me to do their lashes and from then on out I have been perfecting my craft. Lashes to me is a luxury service; giving you a sense of peace and relaxation. I now do lashes as a sense of meditation it’s not about the money just the gift of making pretty girls even prettier. “No look is complete without Klashes “
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At first it was intimidating because your literally dealing with someone eyes. Now, it’s been wonderful. I have some great clients & some regulars. I have some days where I encounter some clients who aren’t as pleasant but that’s what comes with business. I always try my best to rectify any unpleasant situation.
We’ve been impressed with Klashed by Ki, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a beginner lash specialist; my top requested set is the “Klassi” set which is a very full set yet it gives very natural only using lash extension millimeters between 10-15MM. I’m more of a Ki-Volume which is a more dramatic set using longer millimeters.
From others I would say what set me apart is my quality of work for a price that fits the modern girl budget especially in this economy. I also customize every set to fit each girl eye shape giving them a sense of individuality.
Brand wise I’m most proud of my custom Lash Extensions & Custom Lash Care Kits which include custom logo mirror, custom logo fans, lash bonder, lash shampoo, lash brushes, & a custom scratch off with a discount on your next set.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Having a great personality with an extreme balance of patience. When dealing with any customer you need to have a welcoming personality to gain their trust and comfort.
