Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremiah Seegers.
Jeremiah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Jeremiah Seegers, I’m 18, and I co-run a marketing/content agency with my dad, Matthew Seegers.
I didn’t initially plan on doing “marketing.” I started with creative ventures—music, video, and photography for people around me because we all needed content. I seen the opening in the market. There was a need for video, and that was my entry point.
The videography business is amazing, and it enables me to learn so much. I’ve got a lot of experience shooting in a lot of different situations because of it. From weddings, to music videos, to senior photography; I’m glad I get to experience all of this at such a young age
While I was filming, I noticed most people might have the videos, but no real way to turn that attention into leads or customers. It’s difficult to stay consistent if you don’t have a strategy. That’s what pushed me from “I make great videos” to “I build content systems, tailored for growth.”
We recognize that we can actually help a lot of businesses with our services, and that’s why we’re going all in on the marketing agency.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My first challenge was switching my mindset from “make a clean video” to “make a video that helps a business do something.” Videography is about angles, lighting, storytelling. Marketing is about offers, audiences, and outcomes. I had to learn copy, hooks, CTAs, and how to tailor content to a specific audience while also making it look good.
The second challenge was building systems around the work. When you shoot videos, it’s easy to think project to project. When you market, you think in campaigns, nurture, follow-up, and tracking. I’ve had to learn tools like GoHighLevel, how to organize content, and how to make it repeatable for clients.
The third challenge is discipline. I just graduated high school, so now I don’t have a school schedule forcing my structure. I actually have a lot of time, which is amazing, but it also means I have to create my own routine so I’m prospecting, posting, and delivering every day. It’s been going well, and I’m ready to face any other obstacles that I come across.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Media Cheat Code is a local marketing agency. It’s built to help local service businesses look and perform like modern creators, not like old-school contractors. We work with home services, trades, and small businesses that know they need video, social media, ads, and automations, but don’t have the time or team to make it all happen.
We’re video-first, but not “just videographers.” We plan the content, shoot it, turn it into short-form, plug it into social, and pair it with the right offers so it can actually generate leads. We also set clients up inside GoHighLevel so the traffic isn’t wasted.
What sets us apart is; Most videographers I’ve come across are just that, videographers. With us, we offer the entire package. from top to bottom, and we’ll work with you the whole way through. On top of that, We also provide very professional videos. Our previous clients have high praise about the professionalism and quality of our work, plus, we’re a father-son team. The chemistry between us is very strong.
What’s next?
Short term, I want to tighten the system we already have. That means making our content process even faster, getting clients into automations right away, and keeping everything organized so the process is smooth. I also need to transition to building my personal brand, representing the agency.
After that, I want to bring in a couple more employees so we can handle more without losing quality. There are a lot of local businesses in Michigan that want to show up online but don’t know how, so growing the team will let us serve more of them.
Long term, I want to expand past strictly local/service work and work more with people who also want to build their own personal brand. I like the idea of taking someone who’s already good and helping them show up at a higher level—going from “hero” to “legend.” First, we have to show and prove that we can do it on a smaller scale.
