Meet Jason ‘Eastside Jayneato” Nieto of LakeBoy Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason ‘Eastside Jayneato” Nieto.

Jason ‘Eastside Jayneato”, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started writing rhymes and making songs early ..wanted to be an entertainer ..or a basketball player ..I grew up in a small town called Adrian Michigan..making MixTapes and songs with local rappers and producers and Djs..lots of ups and downs and dead ends to hurdle..until my Music made it to Detroit..and local rap legend DICE,who was formally with ESHAM..heard my music and messages and reached out to me..after that I went on to make songs appeared at the African music festival in Detroit..and met MC BREED and did a song with him..after that I started my own label and kept putting out music til this day

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Alot of no returned phone calls..denial..not good enough those type of rejection..that’s when I made my own la el and studio to put out my first album..All independent was my way to go

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
LakeBoy is a independent music label that puts out that feel for rap music that people still hunger for ..working on collabs with country singers and other ventures as far as Netflix movies and video games..Soundtrack music and clothing on the way

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice is to not wait on the next man to help or do it for you..do the groundwork and the homework..u cant cheat the grind..it knows I’ll tell you that much..gotta get up and get after it!
