Meet Isabelle Lieblein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabelle Lieblein

Hi Isabelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have created content for a long time starting with when I had a sustainable clothing small business. I shut that down to pursue creating travel content. I had always tried to sneak in food content with my travel content but it never took off. So two years later I had one of my best friends from highschool (I grew up in South Carolina) come and visit me. She loves cafes so I took her right to the source – all the amazing ones in Dearborn. And I decided you know what I am going to film all of these. I posted them on my travel account and again they flopped. So months later I decided ya know what I’m going to post them on my personal instagram. And I was shocked when they really took off. The first one I posted is at 1 million views. And the rest is history. Very shortly after that I started working with local restaurants. Its been 6 months now and I am shocked by how quickly things have taken off.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My biggest struggle has been getting over the embarrassment of all my friends, family, and even some coworkers seeing my videos. I put my face in them and am talking so they know its me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I love posting on social media, it is definately my creative outlet. I post about lifestyle content just really anything I’m up to on TikTok and Youtube @isofbelle and then on Instagram @isofbellexx. Confusingly my food instagram is @isofbelle. I need to fix that but whatever. It is a lot to manage but all of them are rewarding in their own way. I started all of this posting travel tips on tiktok and it has really evolved and changed so much since I started. I am learning everyday.

What are your plans for the future?
I really want to get more involved with the local community in Detroit. I had no idea but the creator scene is really thriving with events and everyone is just so nice. I am pretty akward so this is pushing my social skills in a really good way. I’m growing as a person and getting to meet some really amazing people along the way. I have heard personal storys from the business owners I have posted about and how I have helped save their businesses. I just want to keep doing more of that.
