Hi Hailey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My sister Tori and I began developing Static Flow in 2022 after receiving our first permanent pieces during a family vacation. Dedicated to excellence, we conducted extensive research and honed our welding skills to perfection. We also tested various chains to ensure we launched our business with the highest quality products. The name “Static Flow” not only reflects the metal’s transition from a solid state to a flowing form and back again but also symbolizes our unique personalities. Although Tori no longer works in the business daily, she remains a significant part of the brand.

When Tori and I first envisioned building this business, we saw it as a mobile venture, participating in local markets and fairs. However, just three months after launching, an opportunity arose to rent a salon suite. Though it felt like an impulsive decision at the time, I knew I had to take the chance and signed a six-month lease with Charity Christine Suites. Now, a year later, I have upgraded to a larger suite, allowing me to expand my product offerings.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am extremely blessed and with the support of my customers, network and family members, it has been a relatively smooth journey thus far. However, one of my main struggles is managing time. As an entrepreneur, I wear many hats and fill various roles, often feeling like there aren’t enough hours in the day to complete all the tasks.

Static Flow specializes in permanent jewelry, offering high-quality pieces that are custom-fit and welded for everlasting, clasp-less wear. Although it is welded in a quick flash, the bond it creates lasts forever by using a micro-welding technique that emits high heat to fuse two pieces of metal together. The process is painless and non-invasive.

The entire process, from chain selection and sizing to the actual welding, takes just 15 minutes, allowing us to make a quick yet lasting impact on every client. Additionally, we are one of the few places offering permanent jewelry outside of typical vendor markets and fairs. With our studio location, we can accommodate clients five days a week, offering appointments that fit their schedules best.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I had a wide range of interests. I was a straight-A student, danced competitively for nearly 15 years, and enjoyed various arts and crafts. I remember making knotted friendship bracelets with my sisters. Now, I have a business that helps people celebrate those friendships with more permanent bracelets.
