Hi Gillian, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The passion behind Grand and Wells was sparked long before the business officially began. From planning weddings for my dolls as a child, to family holidays and birthdays, to school club and dance studio events, and helping with events for my family’s businesses, I was always planning.
I’ve always known I wanted to start my own business. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I was born with that spirit and drive; it was just a matter of when and what I would start. After an injury shifted my path away from a professional dance career, it created space for my passion for planning to move into the spotlight.
While in college, I came across an opportunity to join a business accelerator program. I took a chance, applied, and was accepted, and that’s when Grand and Wells came to life. I worked hard to refine the business into what it is today, and I’m still learning and evolving every step of the way.
Today, Grand and Wells exists to bring organization, care, and elegance to one of life’s most meaningful days. What began as a childhood passion has grown into a modern, refined planning company, rooted in purpose, professionalism, and a love for celebrating life’s grandest moments.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a strong support system of family, friends, and industry mentors who have believed in me from the very beginning. Their encouragement and guidance helped make launching Grand and Wells a relatively smooth journey.
While no entrepreneurial path is without its bumps, having this support made those moments much easier to overcome.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was outgoing, organized, and a true girly girl. I spent most of my time at the dance studio, and when I wasn’t dancing, I was with friends and family or getting involved in the local community, whether through school clubs or volunteering.
I was always the go-to person for organizing and planning, whether it was a group project, a dance camp, or a family celebration. I’ve always loved bringing people together and making life’s moments, big or small, feel special. Looking back, it’s no surprise I found my way into wedding planning.
