Meet Faye Kuz of Grand Rapids

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faye Kuz.

Hi Faye, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The Princess Party Company became part of American Immersion Theater’s ecosystem in 2017. Initially, our company focused just on children’s birthday parties, but overtime we grew to include other events such as meet and greets. Some of our bigger events are at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and the Holland Daddy-Daughter Dance. Today we currently offer 10 different princess characters to bring joy and magic to Michiganders.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Although the joy of what we do never fades, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t challenging days along with the good. Some of our struggles included the popularity of our company, and we had to turn clients away. We have now improved our audition process and trainings, and are able to meet the demand of our clients!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am Faye and I am the Princess Party Company’s Fairy Godmother. This includes vetting potential princesses, as well as training them. Trainings include everything under the sun of how to be a royal princess, such as; wig maintenance, costumes, embodying specific characters, company standards, and bringing magic to everyone.

I am most proud of being able to bring the enchanting experience to children who may not have had the chance otherwise. We work with foundations such as Make-a-Wish and other smaller non-profits to help make children’s dreams come true.

Although, there are many day-to-day things that I do in the office, none of that compares to when I walk into a party as a princess and I see the children’s faces light up with excitement. Spending the precious hours playing games with and creating treasured moments with the children are the best parts of my job.

How do you think about luck?
Anytime I put on a ball gown, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world who not only gets to make kids’ dreams come true, I am making my own dreams come true.
