Meet Emma Johnson of ASHER LEGACY GROUP

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Johnson.

Hi Emma, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has really been about turning life experience into purpose. After more than 25 years in corporate America, along with work in financial services, education, and community engagement, I began thinking more intentionally about legacy—what we leave behind, but also how we help people live well right now. That vision led me to found Asher Legacy Group, with a focus on health and wellness, financial literacy, and education.

One of the areas that became especially important to me was women in the second half of life. I saw a need for spaces where women could have honest conversations about the changes we experience physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially as we age. From that came the L.I.F.E. Series – 360 Empowerment Experience, which brings those areas together instead of treating them separately.

Today, my work centers on helping women understand that wellness is truly 360 degrees. Physical health matters, mental and emotional health matter, and financial health matters. They all affect how we live, the choices we make, and ultimately the legacy we create. My goal is to build experiences that give women information, community, practical resources, and permission to continue evolving at every stage of life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Building Asher Legacy Group has required a lot of persistence, flexibility, and faith. One of the biggest challenges has been creating meaningful programming while also navigating funding, sponsorships, partnerships, and the realities of running an organization that is still growing.

There have also been moments when I have had to adjust plans, rethink partnerships, and continue moving forward even when the resources or support I hoped for were not immediately available. That has taught me a great deal about resilience and about staying connected to the mission instead of becoming discouraged by the obstacles.

The L.I.F.E. Series has reinforced that for me. When you are addressing physical, mental, and financial wellness, you are dealing with very real issues in women’s lives, and building trust and creating spaces where women feel comfortable being vulnerable takes time. But every challenge has helped me become more intentional about the work and clearer about the impact I want Asher Legacy Group to make.

We’ve been impressed with ASHER LEGACY GROUP, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Asher Legacy Group is a community-centered organization focused on helping individuals, particularly women, build healthier and more empowered lives through education, wellness, financial literacy, and meaningful community experiences. Our work is rooted in the belief that true well-being is not one-dimensional. Physical health, mental and emotional wellness, financial health, connection, and a sense of purpose are all part of how we live and ultimately build legacy.

One of the initiatives I am most proud of is our L.I.F.E. Series – 360 Empowerment Experience, which creates space for women to have real conversations and gain practical tools around physical, mental, and financial wellness.

But our work extends beyond one program. Watercolors is one of our signature cultural experiences, bringing people together through music, art, culture, and community. Ascend Room Conversations creates space for authentic conversations with women about their journeys, experiences, and impact. And this year (November 2026), those conversations will culminate in our fifth annual Black Dress Event, where we celebrate women whose stories and contributions deserve to be seen and heard.

What sets Asher Legacy Group apart is our ability to combine purpose with experience. We are intentional about how people feel when they enter a space, what conversations happen while they are there, and what they take with them when they leave. Whether it is wellness, culture, storytelling, or celebration, there is always a deeper purpose behind the experience.

I am most proud that the Asher Legacy Group brand continues to evolve while staying grounded in one central idea: helping people live well, tell their stories, recognize their value, and create a meaningful legacy.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I am intentional about surrounding myself with resources that keep me learning, grounded, and growing. I gravitate toward content focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, health and wellness, financial empowerment, faith, and personal development.

I also value conversations and stories from people who have navigated different seasons of life and built something meaningful from their experiences. Whether it comes through a book, podcast, article, or even a meaningful conversation, I look for resources that challenge my thinking, give me practical insight, and help me continue becoming the best version of myself both personally and professionally.
