Hi Electi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, I started doing music back in 2019. I dropped a comedy song that went viral on SoundCloud name Mood. That’s when I notice I had a passion for being an entertainer. In 2020 the world was impacted due to Covid. A lot of people lost their jobs, lost connections with others and it was sad to see. I wanted to start something that would make people laugh and make people feel a little better during the pandemic. That’s when I started MMOTB podcast. It was a huge success. People from all over the world was listening. MMOTB started off as an audio streaming podcast for the first two years. Also, during that time, I became viral on the platform TikTok. That just increased my popularity with MMOTB. In 2021 I received a lot of requests for MMOTB to become visual. That’s when I made MMOTB to show on YouTube featuring cohost Mighty Jr. (Detroit rapper) and B Limitless (California social media influencer). YouTube channel started with only 2 subscribers and in two months now where at 195 with over 7k views.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well-being an entertainer has it challenges. What’s the main challenge is staying consistent. From posting on TikTok and making new podcast issues a lot us was battling other issues in personal life that affected our consistently with posting on our schedule days. This cause both of my platforms to decrease in followers and likes.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Well, my work is an entertainer. I’m the owner of my own podcast called MMOTB. I’m also a social media influencer on TikTok. My content in TikTok revolves around positive tips on women empowerment building self-confidence and showing that there are great women out in the world that are looking to be loved. I’m very proud of myself. I’m proud that I’m controlling my own narrative that my only enemy that I could face is me. I really don’t think I’m different from anybody else’s. I just feel that I’m one of the people who has their mind focus on one goal and won’t stop until they accomplished it. Anybody can do what they set their minds to do. You just have to have confidence in your work.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Well, some use to call me the problem child haha. But all honesty I was very active. I love to do as many activities I could. From playing sports since the age of 10 until potentially becoming a nation chess champion at the age of 13 with the Washington Academy team. I’m classified as a people person. I can mix with any crowd in thrown in. I always enjoy good energy. I like to help others when I can cause I do believe in karma. You would never know what would happen if u was in that person’s shoes.
