Meet Deon Robertson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deon Robertson. 

Hi Deon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Detroit MI, my mom (Crystal Robertson) R.I.HEAVEN, and my pops (Deon Robertson Sr.) Got A divorce then me and my mom moved to Pontiac, Michigan to live with my great-grandmother (Irene Martin) R.I.HEAVEN. I was going to school and going back and forth between Detroit and Pontiac to spend time with my pops side of the family, which is a huge family. I became very close with both sides of my family, In January of 2010 a day before my moms died, she had a talk with me on the phone saying to always forgive people and the lord says he got u and for me to stop worrying about you and she also said God told her I would be doing something in the entertainment business. At the time I was facing 15 to 20 years in prison for selling drugs. After me and my mother got off the phone, she said she loved me and that was my last time talking to her. I ended beating my case and moving to Atlanta Where my Lady LaTosha started putting in my ear that I should try to get into acting I ignored her until 2015 when I went to this L.A Fitness Gym where I met a woman which became my Big Sis (Sharon Tomlinson) R.I.HEAVEN came up to my and said I want to give you an audition with J.Anthony Brown, I was like how u going to do that and she said cause I’m the CEO of Studio 11 films. So, I did and it went well then, I was introduced to Rodney Perry and did his 6-week improv class then one day he told me I was good at the craft and I should quit my job and pursue acting, so I did fast forward I have became friends with a lot of big-name celebrities in the entertainment business and also, I am the brand Ambassador of a big clothing line OOOGBRAND. I HAVE 3 MOVIES ON AMAZON PRIME AS WE SPEAK and more coming, also I just signed to A big talent agency in Atlanta. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been challenging because when you know u are personally great at what you do, u automatically want to work with all the big-name actors off rip lol, but it takes time, when u passionate about something u keep going until it eventually happens, it took me 6 years of continuously grinding hard

I’m an actor and OOOGBRAND Clothing line Brand Ambassador. We separates me from others is that I have always been fearless, never was scared of anybody or anything, so that means I was never scared to fail, and that’s what got where I’m at today plus number 1 never lost my faith in Jesus no matter what 

What’s next?
To direct and write my own movies and one day be a professional NBA or NFL Head Coach
